Welcome to Varanasi. GRT Kasi Chatram will be delighted to host you.

We are happy to announce the opening of GRT Mahalakshmi Kasi Annapoorna Chatram on Badi Gaibi Road, Varanasi, one of the country's most sacred spiritual destinations. Located near Akashvani, the Chatram is just 4 kms from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ganges. The thirty rooms are modern, bath attached and can accommodate three persons. A nominal maintenance fee of Rs.1500/night per room (for up to three persons) is collected at the time of booking. A large dining hall serves Lunch and Dinner for the residents. GRT Vasanthi Rajendran Trust provides the Annadhanam in the Mahalakshmi Govindarajalu Dining Hall.

The Chatram is an endeavour of the Thanga Maligai Mahalakshmi Trust, the philanthropy arm of the GRT Group. The Trust has been supporting many deserving students through scholarships and other aids.

Terms & Condition

  • Check-in is at 2 pm. Check-out is at 12 noon.

  • Every guest has to produce an Aadhaar ID at check-in.

  • Early arrival or late check-out can be accommodated only for one hour at the lobby.

  • Rooms are air-conditioned. No personal Room Heaters are allowed.

  • One Room keys will be issued per room. Loss of Room Keys will incur a replacement cost of ₹ 150/- per key.

  • Chatram will provide No towels or bath amenities except. Guests need to carry their towels and amenities.

  • Fresh Room linen is provided only on arrival day.

  • The free food in the dining hall is only for lunch and dinner against coupons given in the morning every day before 9 am.

  • Only filtered water will be provided.

  • Asti should be kept in the locker provided. It will not be allowed inside the Chatram.

  • Right of Admission Reserved

  • Valuables in the room are the responsibility of the guests. Safety lockers are not provided.

  • No housekeeping service will be provided after 6 pm.

  • Rooms will be cleaned between 9 am to 6 pm in the presence of guests.

  • Guests can wash and dry their clothes only inside the room.

  • There will be no room service for food or beverages. The consumption of food in the room is not allowed.

  • Food will be served only in the dining hall.

  • The free food in the dining hall is only for lunch and dinner against coupons given in the morning every day before 9 am.

  • Guests should be dressed appropriately and fully covered. No shorts or skirts will be allowed in the lobby and the dining hall.

  • Any damages to the room will be charged on the actual.

  • No room telephones are provided. However, each floor will have one phone in the corridor connected to the reception.

  • An executive will handle the reception between 6 am and 10 pm, and a helpline of the manager will be provided for emergency assistance.

  • The gates will be open between 5 am and 11 pm. Guests entering or leaving the Chatram at other times will have to sign the register at the entrance.

  • Guests should inform the manager to stay away during the booking period.

  • Auto/Taxi/Tuk-Tuk drivers will not be allowed entry to the Chatram.

  • Asti should be kept in the locker provided. It will not be allowed inside the Chatram.

  • Lunch: 12.30 pm - 2.30 pm | Dinner: 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm

  • Tea at the Lobby: Morning:- 7 am - 8 am | Evening:- 4 pm - 5 pm

  • No meals will be served at any other time.

  • Liquor and non-vegetarian food are prohibited in the Chatram.

  • Non-residents cannot have food or tea at the Chatram.

  • Outside food is not allowed.
